HYDRO CULTURE (Planting the House plants in Water )

Hello Everyone

Hydro culture is the method of growing indoor houseplants in water instead of soil. Growing Plants in hydro culture  is of less maintenance,reduced risk of pest and disease. It gives the pleasure of seeing root growth which we miss in soil plantation.

  

Things required for planting plant in Hydro culture

• Pot

• Pebbles

• Indoor Plant

• Water

Pot

You can use culture pot which is same as normal pots with a difference that it has water level indicator with that, or you can use transparent pots where you can see water level from outside.You can use your empty bottles for growing plants.

Your transparent pot can be of glass or plastic .Glass is better option.You can use your old bottles and food parcel packing also.

Pebbles

The main purpose of pebbles is to provide support and moisture  to the plant. There you can use different medium like clay pebbles,crystal soil.

You can use it for support but it does not provide moisture.

Water

water should not be hard water.

How Plant in hydro culture

Take plant with roots remove all the dirt and place in hydro container.

Place little pebbles and then place plant and put little pebbles and fill with water till roots are covered.Water level depends on plant.

Keep changing water daily till new roots are not formed.

Then you can reduce the frequency.

Fertilize not before month.
